about the designer
Garren M. Walker, a native of Monroe, Georgia, holds a B.A. in History from Fort Valley State University and is pursuing an M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Mercer University. Walker is a higher education professional.
During his undergraduate years, Walker was deeply involved in campus life, serving in numerous leadership roles.
Walker is also affiliated with various professional, social, civic, and religious organizations, including, but not limited to, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and Fort Valley State University National Alumni Association.
Walker’s passion for graphic design began at an early age upon being charged with designing the obituary for the homegoing celebration for his maternal grandmother. Over the years, he has honed his skills in various areas and is proficient in numerous software programs. His portfolio includes church bulletins, souvenir journals, funeral programs, flyers, banners, and more. Walker’s guiding principle is, “It is not about me, but it is about those who will come after me."
